Our ATK Commercial Products division is a leader in the design,
manufacture, and distribution of ammunition and hunting, shooting and
tactical accessories. The Lewiston, ID location is seeking a HR
Manager to add to our team. This location has a rich history in
the community and has been operating since 1922. This position
plans, directs, and coordinates human resource activity including
staffing, diversity initiatives, and on boarding. This position
also acts as a partner to the facility by providing HR support for
designated departments by providing professional HR guidance and support
to relevant client groups with the objective of adding value to the
business.
Responsibilities:
- HR support for approximately one third of the Lewiston Operations.
Includes such things as strategic planning at the department level,
consistent application of policies, employee relations, conflict
resolution, performance management, hiring and termination process, and
employee development.
- Oversee the staffing process for CCI/Speer, including management of the
Internal Job Bid System, Applicant Testing, Applicant Tracking/Flow,
Background Checks, On Boarding process, and New Hire Orientation.
Manage Salary Non Exempt employees in department in support of staffing
process.
- Oversee and maintain affirmative action program for location.
- Assist with external recruiting and relations, job fairs, career events
and community events.
- Manage specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational
plan and participate in functional and cross functional
initiatives.
- Oversee test development and administration for promotional testing.
- Create HR reports, leverage use of the HR systems to automate processes
and pull data for analysis.
- Make decisions about hiring hourly and recommend salaried personnel,
interpreting policy and benefits, and reviewing supervisory decisions on
personnel issues
- Coach, counsel, and guide managers before the execution of employee
disciplinary actions.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- 5+ years experience in Human Resources
- Experience with Microsoft Office; skill in database management and
record keeping
- Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations
Desired:
- Experience with an HR Information System querying data and creating
reports
- Strong staffing background in a manufacturing environment
- PHR/SPHR Certification
